On March 6th 2025 Women on Boards Adria (WOBA) and Finance Talks by EoS successfully organized the “Accelerate Your Action in Digital Transformation and AI Revolution” conference, bringing together visionary leaders from academia, business, and government.
A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Alina Timofeeva, a globally recognized expert in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. She shared invaluable insights on the crucial role of women leaders in digitalization and AI implementation, emphasizing that “technology isn’t just about code—it’s about empowering people.” Her address underscored the need for inclusive leadership and strategic action to harness the potential of AI and digital transformation.
Timofeeva also participated in an engaging on-stage interview with North Macedonia’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mr. Stefan Andonovski. Their discussion explored key strategies for advancing the nation’s technological landscape. Minister Andonovski highlighted the importance of ensuring equal opportunities in the digital economy, stating, “Digital innovation should be inclusive and diverse, ensuring that citizens, regardless of gender, have equal access to opportunities in the digital economy. The key is partnering with industry leaders, policymakers, and tech experts to drive innovation and create a smarter, more inclusive digital future.” He further emphasized the transformative power of artificial intelligence, adding, “Artificial intelligence brings more efficient, transparent, and citizen-oriented services. In North Macedonia, we are actively working on digitizing public services to reduce red tape, improve accessibility, and ensure smooth interaction between citizens and administration.”
“This conference wasn’t just about conversation – it was about action,” said Biljana Braithwaite, Chair of Women on Boards Adria and CEO of Sustineri Partners. “With the talent and expertise we saw, North Macedonia has a strong foundation to thrive in the digital future. Diverse leadership is key to the tech revolution, and at WOBA, we are committed to driving gender diversity and economic growth through strong partnerships with governments, businesses, and NGOs.”
“Artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation—these are all powerful tools, but without the right leadership, they can create just as many challenges as they solve. The leaders of tomorrow will be those who can combine technological expertise with emotional intelligence, inclusivity, and future-oriented thinking. Leadership in technology is about seeing potential where others see obstacles.”, concluded Tanja Mihajlovska Dimitrievska, WOBA General Ambassador, Global Expert in Change Management, Transformations, and Internal Audit from an Investment Bank in the United Kingdom.
The conference also featured in-depth panel discussions that provided a comprehensive view of the digital future in North Macedonia and the region.
