WOBA and WMG Foundation Sign Memorandum of Understanding at ESG Adria Summit

11/04/2025

Women on Boards Adria (WOBA) and the WMG Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the ESG Adria Summit, strengthening their joint efforts to promote gender equality at work.

“This partnership gives us a chance to create more space for women to lead, shape their communities, and bring about lasting change,” said Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation. “When we support women, we help build stronger, more resilient communities — that’s central to our mission.”

The collaboration will focus on promoting gender balance in the workplace, sharing knowledge and experience, and developing practical programmes that support a more inclusive workforce.

Together, WOBA and WMG will work on both local and international initiatives aimed at increasing the number of women in leadership and decision-making roles across the region.

For quite some time now, at WOBA we have been working on topics of long-term importance for the entire region, and the signing of this agreement with the WMG Foundation represents a step forward in the concrete empowerment of women in leadership positions. Together, we can develop and implement a range of meaningful projects,” emphasised Biljana Braithwaite, Chair of Women on Boards Adria.

This MoU marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration to build a fairer, more equitable working environment for all.
